About Annie
Annie is a Golden Retriever × Border Collie (a cross usually called a Coltriever), born 26 June 2026 and home since 21 August 2026. She's expected to land somewhere medium-large as an adult; the working guess is 20 to 28kg.
Where she started
She was raised on a farm, living mostly outdoors with access to an indoor barn, alongside her mother and littermates until collection. She grew up around other dogs and livestock, including cows, with regular human handling from the breeder, but not much exposure yet to traffic or town life. That's still being built, gently.

Home
She lives with two humans and no other pets, out towards the Malvern Hills. Quiet streets, some traffic, a garden, and easy access to open countryside for the hiking-dog future everyone's working towards.
Who she is so far
Loving. Naturally affectionate. Getting more confident by the week, and increasingly happy to go and explore on her own terms. She's strongly food-motivated, which makes training genuinely easy. Like most puppies, though, she can turn into a frantic little shark when she's overtired. That one's on the humans to manage, not on her to fix.
Where this is heading
The long-term goal isn't just "well trained". It's a dog who's confident without being reckless, playful but able to switch off, comfortable around people, children, and other dogs without needing to greet every single one of them, and a genuinely easy, happy companion for hikes, pubs, cafés, and road trips. Recall and loose-lead walking are the two big skills being protected carefully; everything else builds around them.
